چکیده
To promote the performance of fast-growing poplar wood for furniture applications, this study proposes and investigates feasibility modifying with a urea-formaldehyde resin impregnating agent by adding nano-SiO2 as way to improve its physical mechanical properties. By observing solubility addition in resin, determine optimal ratio solid content solution. After specimens were treated nano-SiO2/UF water absorption, wet swelling, dry shrinkage, nail grip, flexural strength, modulus elasticity compared analyzed effect impregnation modification ratio. The results showed that properties significantly improved SiO2, was beneficial reducing swelling shrinkage wood, increasing dimensional stability, grip increase strength concentration.

متن کاملRattan Cane Modified with Polyethylene Glycol Melamine-Urea-Formaldehyde Resin
To effectively improve the strength of Plectocomia pierreana rattan cane without reducing its toughness, the cane was impregnated with a new water-soluble melamine-urea-formaldehyde (MUF) resin modified with low-molecular-weight polyethylene glycol (PEG), marked as PMUF. The PMUF synthetic process was optimized using an orthogonal test L9(3). Results showed that the dimensional stability, densi...
متن کاملMelamine-modified urea formaldehyde resin for bonding particleboards
For the development of a cost-effective melamine-modified urea formaldehyde resin (MUF), the study evaluated the effects of reaction pH and melamine content on resin properties and bond performance of the MUF resin adhesive systems. Eight resins, each with three replicates, were prepared in a factorial experiment that included two formulation variables: two reaction pHs (i.e., 4.5 and 8.0) and ...
متن کاملThermal study of phenol-formaldehyde resin modified with cashew nut shell liquid
In this study, an experimental phenol–formaldehyde resin with 20% phenol replacement by cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) was studied and compared with a conventional phenol–formaldehyde resin synthesized totally from petrochemical rawmaterials. The resins were characterizedwith standard lab analysis for their physicochemical specifications, while their thermal properties were studied with thermog...
